The world needs China’s experience to effectively fight the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) as the number of cases in the country declines, a top World Health Organization (WHO) expert said on Tuesday after returning from the epicenter of the outbreak. Describing the response as “striking,” Bruce Aylward, an epidemiologist leading the joint WHO-China mission, spoke about the importance of other countries in drawing lessons from China’s experience in dealing with the epidemic. Speaking at a press briefing in Geneva, Switzerland, he said “in 30 years of doing this business, I’ve not seen this before, nor was I sure it would work”. #CombatCoronavirus #StandWithChina
