Who should be eligible for medically assisted death? | Power & Politics

Since 2016, medical assistance in dying has been available to Canadians meeting strict criteria. The federal government is now expanding access to assisted dying after a court ruled the criteria were too restrictive. Some advocates are hoping mature minors and those seeking to end their lives due to mental illness will be legally allowed to seek medical aid to die.
