After decades of being banned from attending men’s sporting events, Iran’s female soccer fans celebrate the fact they are attending their national team’s World Cup qualifier against Cambodia.

Under pressure from world governing body FIFA and women’s rights campaigners, Iranian authorities earmarked about 3,000 tickets for women to Thursday’s game in the 78,00 capacity stadium.
