A new face of paid news has emerged, and an incredible one. Have you ever heard government floating tender to praise its scheme asking journalists to apply for it? An advertisement by Jharkhand State Information and Public Relation has sought applications from interested journalists to apply for writing on welfare schemes. According to the advertisement, interested journalist can submit their application forms by September 16, 2019. On the other hand, people are marching with candles on the streets of Varanasi for Sanskrit. If anyone utters a word about Sanskrit, chances are that news channels would start howling over it or thousands will start protesting, but look at the situation of the candle march here in Varanasi. It looks as if people of Varanasi have started speaking French. Do we really care about Sanskrit?
