United Arab Emirates trained Security Belt Force patrolled a street near Aden’s International Airport in Yemen, Wednesday, August 28. The Security Belt Force seeks independence for south Yemen. An informational minister of Yemen said government forces reclaimed the capital Aden and its presidential palace, pushing back separatist who seized the city and other parts of southern Yemen earlier this month. Members of the Security Belt Force dispute these claims.

The government troops earlier Wednesday pushed United Arab Emirates-backed militia out of Zinjibar, the capital of the southern Abyan province, after the separatists seized the city earlier this month.
Yemeni Information Minister Moammer al-Eryani tweeted that the “Heroes of the national army and security agencies have retaken Zinjibar city … and complete their control over the other districts of the province.”
