A train collision In Pakistan leaves nearly a dozen people dead and scores more injured.

Officials say a passenger train hit a parked freight train near the town of Rahim Yar Khan in Punjab province. The train was on its way to the historic city of Lahore. A local police officer confirmed that 11 dead bodies have been retrieved while 66 passengers, some in critical conditions, have been shifted to hospitals. The cause of the crash is not clear yet. The federal minister for railways has ordered an inquiry into the incident. Train accidents are common in Pakistan, where tracks are often poorly maintained and railways have fallen into disrepair.
