Drug and chemical company Bayer has launched a PR offensive to counter the growing criticism of its Monsanto weed killer Roundup, and its controversial key ingredient glyphosate. The company says it’s listened and understood, and will find a more sustainable alternative to glyphosate. Shareholders are livid about Bayer’s acquisition of Monsanto and the costly loss of a lawsuit connected with glyphosate, which many believe to cause cancer.
