Alberta Premier Jason Kenney has called Bill C-69 “the no more pipelines act.” The bill is the Liberal government’s proposed law to overhaul how energy project proposals are vetted. Recently, the Senate has been lobbied by the oil industry to amend it. Other critics say that it’ll slow down businesses and kill jobs. The Weekly investigates the influence campaign behind the debate to regulate big energy.
