Pyongyang is calling on Washington to return a cargo ship seized and impounded in American Samoa.
That demand was made by North Korea’s ambassador to the UN, who gave a press conference on Tuesday.
Washington explained the seizure as a move to enforce the sanctions imposed on North Korea, aimed at its nuclear programme.
Human-rights attorney Eric Sirotkin thinks this case may spell the end for US efforts to build relations with the reclusive country.
