A fibreglass fish named, ‘The Headington Shark’ was installed on a house in Headington, Oxford in 1986. Owner Bill Heine commissioned the sculpture and fought legal battles with the council to keep it. At one stage a bank wanted to repossess the house and remove the shark. But son Magnus stepped-in bought the property and saved the sculpture. The shark stays on the roof despite the death of Bill Heine 2 April 2019. Locals said they’re happy it is part of the community.
