The main organizer of protests in Sudan has demanded the sacking of the country’s judiciary chief and prosecutor general.
The Sudanese Professionals Association also demanded the country’s ruling military council be dissolved and replaced by a civilian one. The SPA says the army can only have representatives in the civilian council. Earlier on Monday, Sudan’s military attempted to break up an anti-government sit-in outside its headquarters in the capital Khartoum, but the protesters blocked the attempt. Sudanese protesters have pledged to continue their demonstrations until all their demands are met.
